What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, let a website remember information between visits. Some are needed for a website to work. Others are only used with your consent.
Strictly necessary storage
We use the following without asking for consent, because they are needed to provide the website or to respect your choices:
- rc_consent_v1 (browser local storage, set by us): remembers whether you accepted or rejected advertising cookies, when you made that choice and which version of our notice you saw. It stays until you change your choice or clear your browser storage. It is not sent to us or to anyone else.
- rc_preview (cookie, set by us): used only while the website is closed for maintenance, so that people we invite can review it. It is not set during normal use of the website. When used, it lasts 30 days.
Advertising cookies
With your consent, we use Google Ads to measure when a visit that started from one of our adverts leads to a click on a WhatsApp link on this website. This tells us which adverts bring enquiries. We do not use these cookies to build a profile of you.
Google Ads may set cookies such as _gcl_au, which stores information about the advert you clicked so that a later WhatsApp click can be linked to it. Google may set other cookies for the same purpose. Google is responsible for its own cookies and how it uses the data. You can read more in Google’s Privacy Policy.
Analytics cookies
With your consent, we use Google Analytics for site usage statistics, including clicks on WhatsApp, telephone and email links. Google Analytics uses cookies such as _ga and _ga_*, with retention of up to 2 years. These cookies are not set before consent in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland. Accept and Reject apply to both analytics and advertising cookies. The Google tag described below also supports Google Analytics. You can read more in Google’s Privacy Policy.
How consent works
If you visit from the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, a banner asks whether you accept advertising cookies. Accept and Reject are shown side by side, and you can use the website fully whichever you choose.
We use Google Consent Mode. This means no Google Ads cookies are set before you give consent. If you reject, Google Ads cookies are still not set, but Google may receive limited signals without cookies, such as the fact that a WhatsApp link was clicked. Google uses these signals to estimate conversions in aggregate.
Changing or withdrawing your consent
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by selecting “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page. The banner opens again and your new choice applies straight away.
You can also block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you clear your browser storage, we will ask for your choice again on your next visit.
Third-party services
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Your browser connects to Google to download the fonts, which shares your IP address with Google. Google Fonts does not set cookies.
The Google tag that supports Google Ads is loaded from googletagmanager.com on every page. It only sets advertising cookies as described above.
